Since it’s beginning…

almost immediately after Hurricane Katrina, Celebration Church’s Relief Center was run by a primarily volunteer work force. Over 15,000 people from across not only the country, but the world have been housed here at Celebration Church. Without the help of short term volunteers, the amazing amount of work that has been here in New Orleans and St. Bernard Parish would not have been completed.

Toni Collins, our Director of Celebration Outreach Ministries and Missions, has a passion for helping others. She is a retired educator and served for 3 years as Director of MissionLab for Senior Adults & Families at the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Toni coordinated mission work in the city for the Seminary as well as mission planning for volunteer groups. Toni earned her B.S. and M.Ed. at LSU and her Master’s of Divinity in Urban Missions at NOBTS. Toni was serving on staff at Celebration prior to Katrina. Toni and her husband, Gary, are very thankful for God’s provision and their return to New Orleans.
